99 Speedmart Expands in Miri: Over 40 Branches Planned to Boost Local Economy
99 Speedmart has opened its first branch in Miri city center today, marking its 2,800th store nationwide and creating numerous job opportunities for the local community.
This expansion is a significant milestone for 99 Speedmart. Along with the city center branch, a new outlet in Luak Bay has also begun operations today. Additionally, two more branches will open on March 15 at Desa Senadin and Saberkas Commercial Center, demonstrating the company’s commitment to serving the community.
In the next two years, 99 Speedmart plans to establish over 40 branches in Miri, contributing to local economic growth and investment.
As Miri prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary as a city this May, the Miri City Council remains committed to its vision of a “green, smart, and most livable international resort city.” 99 Speedmart supports this initiative by introducing a RM2 reusable eco-friendly shopping bag, which comes with a lifetime free replacement policy, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
