Lei Cha is a kind of Hakka tea-based beverage food made up of various types of mix of tea leaves, herbs and vegetables such as mint, long beans slices, pickled raddish, black eyed peas, bean curds, and most importantly the 树仔菜, etc.
This food is not widely accepted by most of the young people nowadays due to the bitter taste, however for first time taster, you can ask them to make a less bitter Lei Cha for you. A healthy restorative food that is popular among the Hakka old folks. Another popular Hakka dish known as 算盘子(the beads of abacus) is also available at this stall in Miri City Food Court.
