Miri Public Swimming Pool Expected to Reopen in 2025

Miri Public Swimming Pool is set to reopen in 2025 after a major renovation, its first in 39 years.

Closed for two years due to pump issues, the state government has allocated RM5 million for upgrades, including new facilities and a roof.

The renovation is expected to finish by early 2025. The project includes pump repairs and a new filter, each costing RM500,000, and a RM4 million roof installation.

Once completed, it will be the second roofed public pool in the state after Bukit Lima Swimming Pool in Sibu. During the closure, various swimming events were postponed or moved.
