Miri Airport Set for Expansion, Construction Expected to Begin in 2025

Sarawak is set to undertake a series of major infrastructure projects, including the expansion of Miri Airport, which is expected to commence next year. These projects aim to boost Sarawak’s development and bring long-term benefits to the local population.

The Malaysian Minister of Works emphasized that the launch of these projects marks a new phase of progress for Sarawak. He also noted that in the 2025 federal budget, Sarawak has been allocated RM5.91 billion, which will be implemented in close cooperation with the state government to ensure the successful execution of infrastructure projects for the benefit of the people.
