Come and join the fun at Miri City Car-Free Day 2025, organized by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Section of Miri City Council! It will be held on Saturday, 3rd May 2025, from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Miri City Hall, Marina Bay.
Enjoy a wide range of exciting activities such as Zumba, Fun Ride, Fun Walk, Pickleball, Health Screenings, Traditional Archery, Tai Chi, Taekwondo, and much more!
Have unpaid taxes or parking fines? No worries! There will be a payment counter for Assessment Tax and Car Compound fines available at the venue.
On the day of the event, the council also encourages the public to practice eco-friendly habits by avoiding the use of single-use plastics such as plastic bags, plastic straws, and polystyrene food containers—to help create a cleaner urban environment.
To support this Car-Free Day event, Jalan Marina Utama and Jalan Bandaraya will be temporarily closed from 5:30 AM to 11:00 AM on the same day. Miri City Council advises the public to plan ahead and use alternative routes.
Traffic officers will be on-site to manage flow and road diversion signs will be placed to guide drivers, ensuring the event proceeds smoothly.
