Batik Air Launches Kuala Lumpur-Miri Route

Starting January 14, Batik Air Malaysia will offer a new direct route between Kuala Lumpur and Miri with 14 flights per week. Ticket prices, starting from an average of RM159 one-way, have attracted attention for being affordable.

This new option is especially welcomed by travelers heading home for Chinese New Year. Most tickets remain below RM200, except for peak days, making it easier for families to reunite.

Batik Air’s entry increases competition, reducing high fares and easing flight shortages, while ticket prices remain capped at RM499 as per government policy.
