Company Gives RM600+ Bonus for Employees Who Date

A company encourages employees to date, offering a reward of over RM600 for couples who stay together for three months.

Cash incentives for finding love have caught attention online, as a viral post reveals that employees can receive an RM600+ bonus if they date for at least three months.

Posting single profiles on the company’s internal forum can earn employees RM41. According to leaked screenshots, employees must follow a specific template to share verified profiles of external single individuals. Once the information is confirmed to be authentic and compliant, and with the individual’s consent, the reward is granted.

Successful matchmaking comes with an even bigger incentive. If an external individual introduced through the forum successfully enters a relationship with an internal employee, all three parties involved—the employee who posted the profile, the internal employee, and the external individual—will each receive RM620. To qualify, the couple must officially start dating and maintain a stable relationship for at least three months.

The initiative comes from a tech company in Shenzhen, which aims to enhance employees’ happiness and sense of belonging by encouraging them to find a partner.

By November 11, more than 460 matchmaking posts had been published on the internal forum, with referral rewards totaling nearly RM10,000. Company representatives stated that all submitted posts go through verification before bonuses are issued, with payments made monthly. However, since the dating reward program is still in its early stages, no applications for the RM600+ bonus have been received yet.

This company is known for its creative employee engagement initiatives. In the past, it offered RMB 500 (approximately RM310) for every kilogram of weight lost, distributing over RMB 1 million (around RM620,000) in total rewards.

It’s impressive to see a company taking such an active interest in employees’ personal lives. What do you think of this initiative? Share your thoughts!
