Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has announced plans to construct KLIA3 to address the significant increase in passenger numbers each year.
This proposal includes plans to expand KLIA Terminal 1’s capacity from 30 million passengers per annum (mppa) to 59 mppa and increase KLIA Terminal 2’s capacity from 45 mppa to 67 mppa. It also considers the future development of a fourth runway and the construction of a new Terminal 3 (T3) at KLIA.
The new terminal is expected to provide a long-term solution to ensure Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) continues to meet the growing demands of air travel.
KLIA3 will feature the latest technology and passenger-friendly facilities to enhance the travel experience.
The project is also aimed at supporting the growth of the country’s tourism and economy while strengthening KLIA’s position as a leading aviation hub in the region.
The construction of KLIA3 reflects MAHB’s commitment to advancing the nation’s aviation industry and providing sustainable infrastructure for the future.
