MASwings Becomes Air Borneo – Now Officially Sarawak’s!

Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari announced today that following the successful acquisition of MASwings, the airline will be renamed Air Borneo.
During the signing ceremony, Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar, who also serves as the Chairman of Air Borneo, represented the Sarawak government, while MAG Group Managing Director Datuk Izham Ismail signed on behalf of Malaysia Aviation Group.
The acquisition was finalized through a Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) signed today between the Sarawak government and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), officially paving the way for this new chapter in Sarawak’s aviation history.
