The first Jing Si Hall in East Malaysia will hold its groundbreaking ceremony on November 10, with over 600 attendees expected. The event will also feature a special blessing from Master Cheng Yen.
The estimated construction cost is RM 20 million. The hall will serve as a religious center, community event venue, and volunteer training base. Miri Tzu Chi has been actively involved in disaster relief and environmental efforts, running recycling stations and providing aid to underprivileged families. The hall will continue to support the community through charitable programs and educational initiatives.
Not only can individuals receive spiritual and community service-related education and training, but they can also gain the strength to practice and contribute to the community.
Tzu Chi volunteers engage in a wide range of activities, including emergency aid, free clinics, charity sales, and environmental conservation. These activities have had a significant positive impact on the community, spreading Master Cheng Yen’s values to many.
Tzu Chi’s charitable efforts in Miri have not only helped the community but have also provided relief for poor families, ensuring their basic needs are met. This has given children the opportunity to continue their education and provided assistance to those in dire circumstances. The hall will continue to be a beacon of hope for the underprivileged, offering them support and a chance for recovery.
Tzu Chi’s first Jing Si Hall in East Malaysia will be established in Miri, located at the main entrance of Hilltop Garden. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on November 10.
