Miri’s First Guinness World Record is Happening Soon!
Miri will soon host its very first Guinness World Record attempt at the Miri Outdoor Stadium, making it one of the city’s most significant events to date.
This incredible achievement is the result of two years of effort and collaboration. Over 40 schools, organizations, companies, and government agencies have joined forces to collect an impressive 23,867 Ecobricks. Tens of thousands of participants will come together to witness this historic moment.
The event aims to not only secure this prestigious record but also raise awareness about the impact of single-use plastic waste. By reducing pollution and protecting the city’s beautiful beaches, the effort supports Miri’s goal of becoming a greener and more sustainable city.
Everyone is invited to join the celebration on January 12 at 2 PM at the Miri Outdoor Stadium. Souvenirs will be available for purchase, and photo opportunities will be offered to capture this unforgettable moment.
