Due to higher healthcare demands in Miri City’s fastest growing & development area (Permyjaya), Malaysia’s leading private healthcare provider, KPJ Private Hospital is going to set up a new branch of specialist hospital in Bandar Baru Permyjaya. The location will be somewhere around Desa Bahagia, Miri City.
KPJ Healthcare Bhd is a listed company in Bursa Malaysia with an operating chain of over 20 health centres nationwide. This project plan will be built under a 70:30 joint venture with Naim Land Sdn Bhd and likely to complete by the year of 2014 or 2015, but it’s delayed. The project is going on now and will be completed soon.
The RM70 million, 100-bed full-fledge hospital is goin to be built on 1.62ha land in Bandar Baru Permyjaya in conjunction to Naim’s flagship integrated mixed development project.
Currently, there are only two private hospitals in Miri City: Columbia Medical Centre and Miri City Medical Centre. KPJ hospital would be the third private hospital in Miri City, Sarawak once it’s completed.
