Perodua has unveiled its cheapest electric vehicle, the eMO-II prototype, at KLIMS 2024.
The company plans to produce 500 units per month starting next year, with prices ranging from RM50,000 to RM90,000.
Perodua aims to build charging stations every 40-50km and improve EV resale value to strengthen its market competitiveness.
The eMO-II is designed to be Malaysia’s most affordable EV, with strong features and a focus on quality. Mass production is expected by late 2025.
The prototype showcases improved design and functionality, with more updates planned for the final production model.
