Abang Johari announced that Sarawak Airlines will soon launch flights to Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Jakarta to boost tourism.
The Sarawak government plans to buy new aircraft after finalizing the acquisition of MASwings in December. The new airline aims to promote Sarawak globally, with a target to be fully developed by 2035. Negotiations for the MASwings purchase are ongoing between the Sarawak government, MAG, and Khazanah Nasional Bhd.
